The Diesel Technology: Medium/Heavy Truck Service Technician program is designed to prepare students for employment in the diesel industry as technicians in the areas of service, maintenance, and repair. The A.A.S. degree offers students an in-depth background in diesel fundamentals through theory and hands-on instruction. Students are provided with a comprehensive set of diesel skills that area employers seek when selecting technicians for their industry. This program is designed to prepare students to work in the various industries that utilize diesel powered vehicles and equipment.
Students seeking additional credentials may pursue the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Medium/Heavy Truck Certification exams.

A valid driver’s license is required for admission into the Diesel Technology program. Students are advised to consult with the program director prior to admission into the program. Students must visit the Regional Automotive Center prior to registration.
