The Career Studies Certificate in Basic Machining provides students with basic machining concepts, blueprint reading, inspection procedures, and safety. Students develop the basic skills necessary to function as a machinist trainee. The training includes preparation for the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification tests.
