HIM 298 - Seminar and Project in Health Information Management
Credits: 2
Requires completion of a project or research report related to the student’s occupational objectives and a study of approaches to the selection and pursuit of career opportunities in the field. May be repeated for credit. Introduces the student to information management practices, regulatory issues, reimbursement, utilization management, risk management and quality improvement initiatives as it pertains to non-traditional health care settings.
Prerequisite: Admission into program.
